Candle Care
Every TWENTYFOUR.VII candle is hand poured in small batches of with a coconut soy blend wax. A little care helps it burn cleanly, evenly and for as long as possible.
The first burn matters most
Soy wax has a memory. The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar. This usually takes two to three hours. Blowing it out early can cause tunneling, where the wick sinks into a hole and leaves wax wasted on the sides.
Trim the wick every time
Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. A short wick gives a steady, clean flame and helps prevent smoke, soot and mushrooming.
Burn no longer than four hours
After about four hours, let your candle rest and cool completely before lighting it again. This keeps the flame and the jar from getting too hot.
Find the right spot
Place your candle on a flat, heat-safe surface, away from drafts, open windows, fans and vents. Drafts make the flame flicker and burn unevenly.
Know when to stop
Stop burning your candle when about 1/2 inch of wax is left in the bottom of the jar.
Always burn safely
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep at least 3 inches between burning candles.
- Keep away from anything that can catch fire.
With a little care, your candle will keep a warm light glowing, day and night.
